Pentatlo Moderno - História

History

Today, as in antiquity, pentathletes are renowned for the harmony and measure that is highlighted through their efforts to distinguish themselves in five completely different sports.
The men’s Modern pentathlon was included in the Olympic competition schedule at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm, while the women’s category was added for the first time at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

On an international level, the modern pentathlon is managed and administered by the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM), which was founded in 1948 and is based in the Principality of Monaco.

In Greece, Modern pentathlon began in 1975. The Hellenic Modern Pentathlon Federation (known by its Greek initials of E.O.MO.P.) was founded in January 2001. Until then, Modern pentathlon had been under the authority of the Hellenic Amateur Athletics Association.



Pois é pessoal que nunca ouviu falar de Pentatlo Moderno, fikem a saber k é modalidade Olímpica desde á bués tipo 1912 Jogos de Estocolmo, por isso vénias aqui ao meu desporto....

Ps: vejam la os gregos ficaram cheios da guita, começaram logo com o Pentatlo em 2001, nós já o temos aqui no nosso Portugal desde, humm ok pá 1950 e tal axo eu depois confirmo isso...
